Busy week

                This week has been busy; I have had so much freaking homework that it’s insane.  In my Econ class I had an assignment do on Thursday, I had an assignment do that I had to write out all of the questions too also.  It literally took me 2 hours to finish the stupid assignment.  I didn’t even get anything out of the assignment other than that if you don’t know an answer just hope he doesn’t check that problem.  It seems like all of the homework is due in the same few days.  I had the econ one and then I also had three assignments due for my computer class. Those ones were pretty easy though, we had to do excel assignments.  In high school I had actually taught excel to my class when the teacher was gone.  I hate having to take it again; it seems like a waste of my time.  But I guess it’s required for my major I really don’t have much of a choice but to take it.  I also had accounting homework do, It made me mad I had to redo an entire problem because I put a “.” where a “,” was suppose to be.  Oh well I guess homework is an everyday thing in college, you either do it or you fail.

                I have decided that 8 a.m. classes suck, I have a class every day at 8 a.m. and it’s tiring.  If I had a choice I’d go in at 11 everyday, but I have to work full time so that’s not an option.  All my classes are done by 11:50 so I guess it’s not too bad.  Only bad part is waking up at 7, I haven’t made it to an 8 o’clock class on time yet.  I can leave earlier every day but I’m always stuck in traffic, to actually make it on time I’d need to leave at like 6:30 but there’s absolutely no way I’m going to do that, I’d rather sleep in though. 

Even though this week has been busy it’s been good.  I’ve worked a lot but oh well I make money and I can’t complain.  At least I’m lucky enough to have a job; I know a lot of people can’t get one with the way the economy is so I’m grateful for my job.  I work in a graphics art company; it’s an interesting place to work.  I only got the job because my best friend’s family owns it and I’m like a son to the owner.  I owe that family a lot, they’ve always been there for me and have always been willing to help me out if I needed anything.  They actually sold me the car I’m driving now, and for a really good price.  My car is a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer and I’ll have it paid off by the end of this year.  They also bought my cell phone so that I can save money.  Yeah even though this has been a busy week I don’t regret it at all.

Superbowl

Though my favorite football team is the Kansas City Chiefs they were not good enough to make it to the Superbowl.  This was their best year in a long time but when it came right down to it they couldn’t win.  Maybe the chiefs will be able to go all the way next year.  They’ve had a great team and the potential to win for the past few years they just haven’t been able to.  The Superbowl is in a little over a week. There are two teams that have made it to the top of the football league, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Green Bay Packers. The game is on Sunday, February 6, at 5:30 central. I think that the Steelers are going to win this year.  If you look at the records of both teams, the Steelers are 12-4 while Green Bay is 10-6. So the Steelers have a better record than the Packers, they are at an advantage. This is the third time in six years that the Steelers have made it to the Superbowl.  They have an amazing team and are going to make the Packers work for every yard they get. I’m not saying that it will be an easy game for the Steelers.  The Packers would not be in the Superbowl if they weren’t a great team. The Packers are the underdogs this year in the Superbowl almost by 2.5.  In order for them to win they’ll have to play harder than ever before.

            In order for the Steelers to win, they’ll have to play there hardest game ever. They have had a winning season but the Patriots will bring their “A” game.  The quarterback for the Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger, is one of the greatest quarterbacks playing in the NFL right now.  He might have been an 11^th round draft pick he has proven to be better than anyone would have ever expected. He has put his heart into every yard he’s thrown, every yard he’s ran, and every play he’s called.  This is one game that he will have to rely on all his skills and his offensive line to make sure no one from the packers gets through.  With the Steelers offense being led by Ben there’s no doubt in my mind that the Steelers will be victorious in their third Superbowl in six years. 
            Though I believe that the Steelers will win a lot of other people think that the packers are going to win.  This is one of the years that the underdog will have the majority of support from the fans.  A lot of the Steeler’s players are injured this year right before the Superbowl which will give the Packers an advantage So on Sunday, February 6 I will be watching the Superbowl cheering for the Steelers, I know a lot of others will be watching the best Superbowl of this decade. Granted it’s the first Superbowl of this season also, but that doesn’t really matter it’ll be great.

Introducing Me

My name is Joey Henson. I am 19 years old and I was born in Mesa, Arizona.  I moved to Missouri when I was still a baby and lived in Carl Junction most of my life. I have two brothers and two sisters.   I graduated in 2010 and decided that because of the state of the economy I would live at home and go to college at MSSU. This is my second semester here and it’s a nice campus.  I am majoring in Accounting and have lined up a few places I might intern for before I actually graduate from Southern so that I have experience.  English has never been my strong point but I’ve always liked the classes, I’m more of a math person.  I am looking forward to this semester it’ll be a challenge but it’ll be fun also.
